Outside
Trim the lawn and shrubs. Tidy the patio and outdoor furniture. Clear the driveway and entryway. In winter, clear snow from paths and sidewalks.
BEFORE THE SHOOT
A little preparation makes a meaningful difference. Use this checklist to have the property ready before your photographer arrives.

Clean surfaces. Clear sightlines. Beautiful light.
Trim the lawn and shrubs. Tidy the patio and outdoor furniture. Clear the driveway and entryway. In winter, clear snow from paths and sidewalks.
Remove clutter and personal items from surfaces. Neaten shelves and arrange furniture to create an open feel. Replace burnt bulbs.
Clear counters, put away dishes and small everyday items, and empty the trash. Wipe reflective surfaces.
Put toiletries out of sight. Close toilet lids, empty bins, clean mirrors and glass, and hang towels neatly.
Check each room, turn on the lights, and plan to remain outside the rooms being photographed. Furniture moving, cleaning and garbage removal must be completed beforehand.
